OLDIES: Öhmöt
Hassua. On aina ollu sellanen fiilis, et näitä ois enemmänkii, mut ei näitä oo ku muutama paperi ja puoltoista sivua A4-vihossa. Liekkö niitä tullu sit piirreltyä lähinnä kaikkialle muualle paitsi sarjakuviin...who knows. Anyway, Öhmöt on luotu joskus varmaan 12-vuotiaana, ja ne on luotu tälläsen pienen pehmolelun pohjalta:
Voitin tuon (~12v. edelleen) Tivolista jostain narunvedosta tms. ja annoin sille nimeks Öhmö. Toi kroppa ja kaikki oli niin helppo tuoda paperille, et siitä synty Öhmöt. Öhmöllekii piti luoda perhe, ja se sai sen. Sukunimeks tuli Öhmö, minkätakia ite "päähenkilö" on kokonimeltään Öhmö Öhmö :D
Öhmöt oli myös ton pallopäänsä kanssa niin helppoja, et pystyin naispuolisten Öhmöjen kanssa keskittymään hiuksiin ja vaatteisiin. RAKASTIN piirtää niitä! (Nykyään sit leikin hiuksilla ja vaatteilla simssissä.)

Something that grew into a habit.
Seuraavana sarjakuvat. Näitä lukiessa on muuten tosi jännää, et kuin ei periaatteessa muista mitään 12-vuotiaan ittensä ajatusmaailmasta, mut silti näissä on tosi vahvasti mukana toi muoti ja laihuuden ihannointi. Omat hahmoni halus olla kauniita, mut ne kyllä ties missä menee raja, kuten seuraavasta voi huomata. Ilmeisesti sitä on sit sillon jo katellu ympärilleen ja ymmärtäny asioita anoreksiasta yms. (vaikka ne tais virallisesti tulla vasta koulussa 7lk:lla). Itehän siis en koskaan halunnu olla muodissa kiinni ja mieluummin jäin jälkijunaan ja olin "erilainen" ku muut siirty johonkiin teemaan. Meikkaamistakii yritin, mut ei siitä koskaan tullu miun juttu. En tänä päivänäkään meikkaa, mitä nyt viime vuonna YRITIN rajata silmiä mustalla mut sekii sit vaan jäi... Edelleen kyl välillä tekis mieli ku tykkään hirmusesti siitä miltä ihmiset näyttää ku on eyelineria.
Next there's the comics themselves. When I read these I realized I don't remember much about my view of world from the age of 12, but still these contain lots of fashion and how people adore(d) thinness. My characters wanted always be beautiful, but they still knew where's the limit, like you can see from the next one. I think I already was looking around myself and been aware about anorexia and stuff (though we officially studied about them at school at the age of 13). Personally I never was (nor still am) into fashion, when others foung some theme I was just willing to stay where I was and willing to be "different". I tried to start using make-up but I never really got into it. I still don't use it. Execpt last year I tried to use black eyeliner/kohl but it kinda just got forgotten...it wasn't really my thing. Though I still sometimes think how cool it looks like when people use it!

This probably is my first comic that actually ended, and was even a strip-like comic. Here you can see some kind of a "Body Dysmorphic Disorder" + anorexia...

Näillä oli ideana, et noista kaksosista Sanna on tosi kiltti ja Jenna taas 24/7 hapannaama. Tän sarjakuvan mystinen aihe olikii se, et Jenna käyttäytyy yllättäen kiltisti. Ja Reetu ja Chihi oli ikäänku tarinan sivuhahmoja, ne sääti aina jotain, ja tässäkii perheen ollessa kaupoilla, on koirilla selvästi oma elämä menossa kotopuolessa :DDDD Tääkin, yllättäen, loppuu kesken.

One idea with the family was the opposite twins. Sanna is always kind and happy and Jenna on bad mood 24/7. The subject for this comic was that suprisingly Jenna'd behave well. Reetu and Chihi, the dogs, are kinda side characters of the comic, they were always doing something on the background. Also in this one when the family was shopping, the dog had their own life going on in the house :DDDD This also never saw it end, surprisingly.
Selitetäämpä vähän, Sanna siis näki seinällä "Ole viikon prinsessa" -julisteen ja päätti et haluu osallistua kilpailuun ja suunnitella itte asunsa, mut sisko tms. ei ollukaan samaa mieltä (hmmm, tulee pienoinen Murkkusaari-flashback :D).
/// I feel like explainin this a little. Sanna saw there "Be the week's princess" poster and decided to take a part and chose her own dress for it, but her sister or someone disagreed (Murkkusaari-flashback, anyone? :D).

HAAA tän muistan! Olin 6lk:lla ja olin aulavahtina (siis piti päivä istua käytävässä, opettajanhuoneen edessä pöydän ääressä, hoitaa asioita, tiskata ja sen sellasta) ja siinä tylsistyessäni piirsin tätä. Taas hiusteemaa, mut sitähän varten Öhmöt alun alkaen loin! :D Ja taas siellä on joku laiha öhmö jota Sussu kauhistelee.

HEY I remember this one! I was 12 and in the school we had to spend one day sitting at a desk in the corridor in front of the teachers room, "deal businesses", wash disches and stuff like that, and while I was bored I drew this. Here the hair theme is seen again, but it was why I created Öhmö's! Also again there's a really skinny öhmö who makes Sussu horrified.
OMG ne loppu! Mut siis siinä oli Öhmöjen tarinat. Ihan kauheen vähän ku tuntuu et oisin piirtäny noita niin paljon. No, ehkä oon sit piirtäny vaan noita ruutuja ja hiuksia niin paljon et tuntuu paljon enemmältä :D

OMG it was the last one! So there were the Öhmö stories. So few. It feels like I'd have drawn lots of these. Maybe it was just lots of panels and hair it feels a lot more :D

Tässä ku oon nyt pohtinu näitä sarjakuviani ja sen sellasta, oon huomannu et suurin osa näistä on itseasiassa luotu (ja jääny kesken) joskus 10-12 vuotiaana. Jotenkii kamalan vaikee järjestellä noita aikajärjestykseen, ku tuntuu et niitä on niin paljon ja osa niin paljon "vanhempana" tehty, ja todellisuudessa niillä onkii vaan vuoden tai parin ikäero :D Voiskohan se sit olla, et ekat ois sittenkii tehty joskus 9-vuotiaana...

Now when I've been wondering about and ordering my comics I've noticed that most of the comics has been created when I was 10-12 years old. It's really hard to think what'd be the real chronological order when there's so many of them and they feel like I had made them "much older" but when the age difference actually is only couple of years. Could it be that my first ones were created when I was 9, then... Dunno.

OLDIES: Murkkusaari
Ja vihdoin Murkkusaaren vuoro! Tää on ehkä sittenkii jostain vuodelta 2002, vaikka oon aina ajatellu et se ois jo 2001. Käsialaa ku katon ni on toi kyllä kehittyny edellisestä ja taisin kirjottaa tolla lailla 5lk:lla. Mut se tarkottaa sitä, et tää sarjakuva on nyt 10-vuotias 8D Murkkusaari on myös tyyliltään paljon selkeempi ku nuo edelliset. Aika lailla saman kaavan mukaan mennään - kuninkaallisia, kiusattu prinsessa, kasvukuvia, vaatteita ja hienoja hiuksia (KYLLÄ, noilla naispuoleisilla oli hiukset! :D). Ens alkuun kuitenkii pari muuta tolla tyylillä tehtyä kuvaa ja muuta sälää.

Sitä en tiedä, miks tuolla vedessä lilluskelee hyttynen :D Okei se on olevinaan hai, mut en sit parempaa keksiny :D

In the castle there some another ant asking someone (who I never drew there) "Can I have the princess?" so it must be a rival. One thing actually disturbs me: why on earth there's a mosquito diving in the water??? It tries to be like a shark, but really, a mosquito? :D

Nää on vaan jotain eri vihosta, oli itseasiassa joku "Oma vihko" koulussa, ku pein aina piirrustusvihkoa ala-asteella pulpetissa. Voi olla et oon vaan piirrelly sarjakuvan murkkuja huvin vuoks, TAI sit sarjis on voinu kehittyä näistä. Ei voi muistaa.

These are from different notebook. It was some "Own notebook" I used to have at school for drawing and I kept it in the school desk. It might be that I've just drawn ants from the comic just for fun, OR then the comic was actually born from these.

Eli tää on sitä itteään, se aito ja alkuperänen (ja ainoa) Murkkusaari. Alotetaan kannella koska toi vihko on vaan niin legendaarinen ku se on kaikenlisäks miun lempiväri! :D Toi kulki aina mukana koulussakii ja piirtelin tota vähän millon sattuu, nii kotona ku koulussa.

So this is the original (and only) Murkkusaari. Let's get started with the cover 'cause this notebook just is so legendary (for me) and also my favorite color! I had this always with me in the school, and I was drawing the comic at school as well as at home.

OLDIES: Kummitusmaa
Tää oli kyllä niin lyhyt et huhhuh. Ei tää päässy koskaan hahmoesittelyä ja jotain tosi randomia sivua pitemmälle.

Miks kaikki kuninkaat on Arttuja? :DDD Ja huomatkaa taas tää kiltit-on-syrjittyjä -teema. Olin ite nimittäin. Toi lemmikkisivu jäi kesken ku muistan ku piirsin tota ja olin et nyt tulee ihan saakelin hieno, ja sit sukkasinkii :DDD
